The Industrial Electronics Society Student Forum (IES-SF) is a great opportunity for engineering students and recently graduated engineers to present their research work on Industrial Electronics and related areas. The IES-SF is an activity specially for young engineers and its aim is to get in touch with many international students and those recently graduated from universities and companies.
Students registered in engineering courses (BSc and MSc) and also recently graduated engineers (max two years since graduation) are strongly encouraged to join the IES-SF. There are two ways to participate in the IES-SF:
Topics are not limited but they should match with the scope of the ISIE '10. It should be noted that only students can be authors of papers submitted to the IES-SF. Professors are not allowed to appear as co-authors in the IES-SF papers but they are strongly encouraged to motivate students to participate in this enriching experience and supervise the quality of the submitted works.
Students participating in the IES-SF will enjoy a reduced registration fee. Students’ activities will be concentrated in a single day to reduce the overall cost of attending the IES-SF. However, students are allowed to attend most of the activities of the ISIE’10. Students with a regular registration for the ISIE’10 will have a free registration for the IES-SF as well.
Authors should submit a copy of their full paper, in English, with 6 pages maximum, using automated web-based submission system and selecting Student Forum [SF] as technical track. Authors should specify in their submitted draft manuscript if they would like to participate either in young engineers' oral or poster session. Please, consult the official symposium web page or contact the IES-SF general chairman (email@example.com) for further information.
Yes!! An international group of reviewers will select both the best oral and the best poster presentations of the IES-SF based on the quality of the submitted paper, the clarity of the presentation and the interest aroused among the audience. Authors of these two works will receive an IEEE supporting diploma in recognition of the quality of their contributions and a $500 award per work.
Yes!! Please have a look to the Important Dates (blu box on the top of this web site); the Deadlines of the student forum are the same as those of the contributed papers unless specifically indicated.
We look forward to receiving your papers and meeting you in Bari.
